Rebecca Rainwater
I have been practicing family law exclusively since 2011 and have always had a focus on seeking solutions for my clients rather than creating more problems. After clerking for a family law judge I realized that court is no place to handle family issues. Court is designed for one side to win and one side to lose and that is not a system that promotes parties to work together for the benefit of their children. It only heightens the animosity between the parents. I wanted to offer clients something more, so I attended Pepperdine’s Straus Institute and earned a certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution as I saw a real need in helping families navigate ending their marriage or domestic partnership in a way that promoted win-win collaborative solutions rather than expensive court room battles. I have participated in over 100 hours of Collaborative Law and mediation training and have successfully mediated many cases and represented parties in collaborative law matters as well.
I was Supervising Attorney for the San Bernardino Department of Child Support Services for two years and have vast knowledge and experience in handling child support issues from establishing new orders to modifications of existing orders. I have extensive knowledge in handling support cases for active and retired military members, individuals receiving disability income and self-employment income. I spent three years working in Orange County handling high net worth, high conflict cases utilizing forensic accountants and other experts and conducting trials. There is no case to large or too small.
Whether you need litigation, mediation or collaborative attorney, I am able to meet your family law needs with exceptional skills, ability, and experience. Offering families compassion, integrity, and respect.
